Scene Voice is made by Bad Guy Good Guy Inc (“we”). By using the Scene Voice app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
The beta
Scene Voice is in a free beta, delivered through Apple’s TestFlight. Apple’s TestFlight terms apply alongside these.
A beta is unfinished. Features can change, break or be removed, and a build can lose work. Keep your own copies of anything that matters, and use Settings → Save a backup in the app. We may end the beta, or a build, at any time.
Your scripts and your work
Everything you bring to Scene Voice stays yours: your scripts, your notes, the lines you record and the self tapes you shoot. We claim no rights in any of it, and we never receive it unless you send it to us.
You are responsible for having the right to use the scripts you import. If a script is covered by a confidentiality agreement, keeping to that agreement is up to you. Marking the script Confidential, or turning on Private mode, keeps it away from the optional online extras.
Optional services you connect
ElevenLabs voices, and casting help through Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, use accounts and keys of your own. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and any charges on those accounts are yours. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for them.
Reports and estimates
The breakdowns, shoot estimate, revision report and other production sheets are made by reading the script automatically. They are a starting point, not a substitute for checking. Confirm anything you rely on for a schedule, a budget or a booking.
The voices
Scene Voice’s voices are generated. Use them for reading, rehearsal and self tapes. Don’t use the app to pass generated speech off as a real person’s voice, or to break the law or anyone else’s rights.
The beta tester license
The first 100 beta testers to claim it in the app get a free lifetime license when Scene Voice launches. Lifetime means for as long as we offer Scene Voice, with no charge to keep using it. The claim appears in Settings after an hour of reading, on three different days. One license per person. Claims are counted in the order they arrive. We may refuse a claim made by automated or fraudulent means. The launch email carries the license and how to use it.
Fair use of the app
Please don’t try to break, overload or get around the app’s protections, and don’t copy, resell or redistribute the app itself. The app, its design and its voices belong to us or our licensors.
No warranty
Scene Voice is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or right for any particular purpose.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost work, data, bookings or earnings, arising from your use of Scene Voice. While the app is free, our total liability to you for anything else is limited to fifty US dollars. Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. We’ll change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using Scene Voice after a change, the new terms apply.
